Mountain Music – Night on Bald Mountain
Original work for orchestra written by Jeremiah Bornfield, commissioned by 國立清華大學 and Sophia Lin – National Tsing Hua University Orchestra premiered in 2016.
The animation was originally created to accompany Mussorgsky’s Night on Bald Mountain. Animation and production by Alexander Alexeieff and Claire Parker. It is the first film that was made using the pinscreen animation technique which they invented in 1933.
The film Night on Bald Mountain is public domain and available as part of the Prelinger Archives.
