I’ve written a piece for my friend, one of the best violinists in the world, Alla Aranovskaya, to move my thoughts and help raise money for Ukraine. So far the concerts associated have raised several thousand dollars to buy helmets for soldiers defending their freedom against what will certainly be remembered as war crimes perpetrated by Russia. The piece is entitled Zelensky after the President of Ukraine, and with his words embedded in the score.
